What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as who you're signed in as. A cookie can be a session cookie, which is deleted when your browser session ends, or a persistent cookie, which stays on your device until it expires or you delete it.
The cookies ReviewFrame uses
ReviewFrame only sets strictly necessary, first-party cookies — cookies set directly by reviewframe.com, never by a third party. We do not use any performance, advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites. Every cookie we set exists because the site cannot work without it, for example to keep you signed in.
-
sessionid (session cookie, first-party, strictly necessary)
Keeps you signed in to your ReviewFrame account as you move between pages. Persists for up to two weeks of inactivity, or until you sign out. -
csrftoken (persistent cookie, first-party, strictly necessary)
Protects forms and requests on the site against cross-site request forgery (a type of attack where another website tries to submit requests on your behalf). Persists for about a year. -
response_id (persistent cookie, first-party, strictly necessary)
On public consultation pages, links together the answers a visitor gives across a consultation's pages, without identifying who that visitor is. Persists for 30 days.
Sharing with third parties
None of the cookies described above are shared with, or readable by, any third party. We do not use any third-party or cross-site tracking cookies.
Managing cookies
Because all of our cookies are strictly necessary, we don't ask for consent to set them and there's no cookie-preferences option on the site — UK cookie law doesn't require consent for cookies that are essential to providing the service you've asked for. You can still control or delete cookies at any time using your browser's settings, and you can find instructions for your browser on the ICO's cookies guidance. If you block or delete these cookies, sign-in, form submissions and consultation responses may stop working as intended.
