Overview

 

This standard is about preparing and completing show reports post show.  You will keep notes during the performance and will have to decide which information to report post show.

This standard is for Deputy Stage Managers, Show Callers or the Stage Manager on the book.

 

Performance Criteria

You must be able to:

  1. keep notes on the performance for the show report
  2. gather information from colleagues for the show report
  3. report on problems or issues that occurred during the show
  4. produce the show report in the required format
  5. provide recommendations for the performance
  6. use findings from the show report to make improvements and maintain production quality throughout the run
  7. distribute the signed off show report to the production team as required

 

Knowledge and Understanding

You must know and understand:

  1. how to take notes for the show report during the performance
  2. how to decide what to report and what not to report
  3. terminology for the show report such as clean show
  4. details to include in the show report for example, audience reaction, technical problems, running times
  5. how the show report can be used monitor quality
  6. who should sign-off the show report
