Overview

This standard is about supporting company members on a production. You will be required to arrange for transfer between venues, manage the logistics of touring and make sure that tours run smoothly.

This standard is for anyone who supports company members on production but can be suitable for touring productions as well.

 

Performance Criteria

You must be able to:

  1. inform company members of the programme for productions in time for them to complete their own preparations
  2. establish and maintain personal information and specific requirements
  3. collate and provide details of venues to all company members including information about the location of preparation and working areas
  4. give company members details of any pre-arranged events
  5. communicate information to company members in line with your organisation’s communication policies and procedures clarifying information when required
  6. provide support to company members to help them adjust to new environments

 


Knowledge and Understanding

You must know and understand:

  1. how to research and prepare information about venues that will assist the company to prepare
  2. what information to provide about pre-arranged events including costume fittings, publicity shoots
  3. the importance of keeping up-to-date records of company members’ information in line with data protection legislation and organisational procedures
  4. the types of specialist requirements company members might have including access and dietary requirements
  5. other specialist resources that might be required such as chaperones and intimacy coordinators
  6. your organisations' internal communication policy and procedures
  7. the specific needs that may arise from touring productions such as travel and accommodation
  8. production requirements and how these may be affected by differences in venue provision
  9. the sorts of problems that may arise in meeting production requirements and how to identify them
